Old school Horror Films

First of all I would like to start my blog by listing some of my favorite old school horror films, since so much inspiration with my dolls stems from horror flicks.

1930-1959 
Frankenstein 1931

Some of the these older ones like "The freaks" & "Self Medication" are similar style in my opinion to Alfred Hitchcock, I can't find too much information on the "Self Medication" one I saw this one on TMC channel maybe year ago.

 The Birds 1963   I was riding my bike in a park in Jersey after sunset & I had a bat attack my head I never peddled faster in my life, all I thought about was this movie!

Rosemary's baby 1968   Very very creepy lullaby.
The Devil Ride's out 1968

1970-1979
The Exorcist 1973  I can't believe I watched this movie as a kid with my entire family including my great grandma!
 Funny how I now introduce these movies to my 14 yr.old & 21 yr. old. Some of them they won't watch again they say the old flicks freaks them out way more than the new ones!

Jaws  1975      This one I actually went with my brothers to Universal Studios in California & they had the Jaws tour I was impressed! I 'm still afraid of the sharks so I will only go in knee deep... ok, more like ankle deep.

Piranha 1978  I remember going to summer camp & not going in the lake because of this movie!

1980-1989   Best Horror Flicks during the 80's the prime era of great special effects!!!
The Shining 1980   I will never ever get tired of watching this movie ever.
Friday 13th 1980   First one.... almost always the best one with few exceptions.
Mother's Day 1980  My husband calls this one a Fabian movie & everyone out in Paterson knows what that means & I have to agree. Similar flicks would be "The Basket Case", Sleepaway Camp" & "Evil Dead".

Child's Play 1988 My oldest daughter had a "My Buddy" doll & after watching a clip of this movie with one of her uncle's not going to name names but you know who you are, she freaked out so bad I had to put the doll on lock down but occasionally I'll take it out to tease her now and then. I asked her if she wanted to take it with her to the dorms but she wasn't having it..maybe I'll alter it & pack it for her on laundry day...just kidding.

Puppet master 1989 I've been told plenty of times this one has to be your favorite,  next time I will list my favorite creepy dolls movies.

I know there are many more Horror flicks either I forgot or didn't get to watch. Please add any additional great Horror flicks that I didn't include.

These are ones I haven't seen yet but was told they are a must.
